It’s almost free, just need some hardware device for connected Android Smartphone to the Ace PLC or CommandHMI.

If you have already an WIFI access on site, juste need to add our WIFI STA Router
On the PC remote maintenance side : Service Engineer / Machine Builder
- On the PC you want to use for remote maintenance, close vBuilder and download :
- VirtualHere Client for Windows (32-bit, Win7/Server2008R2 or later)
- VirtualHere Client for Windows (64-Bit Win7/Server2008R2 or later)
- Start the program VirtualHere USB Client. Right click USB Hubs->Specify Hubs…-> Advanced Tab and check “Enable Reverse Connections”
- In your ADSL router, the one you use for your internet access at the office, forward the port 7573 from Internet to your PC. In some case you must restart your router.
- Note your Public addresse IP (see https://www.whatismyip.com), you will need it for the Ace PLCs / CommandHMIs side.
- All done! That all! We just have to wait the connection from the Ace PLC or CommandHMIs side
Here, we are connected to the USB port of the Android Smartphone, but not to the Ace PLC or CommandHMI.
Double-click on the “Virtual COM Port” to be connected to the Ace PLC or CommandHMI
Or you can select Auto-Use All Devices for be connected automatically on each USB port.
- Then launch vBuilder and you can work as you were directly connected to your Ace PLC!
- Now, you can troubleshoot, debug and program Ace PLCs remotely and almost live
- You can switch to other applications on your smartphone, it will always work

- On your Smartphone, install the VirtualHere USB Server application available on Google Play for Android or an APK file directly from [ilink url=”https://virtualhere.com/sites/default/files/usbserver/AndroidServer.apk” style=”download”]here[/ilink]
- Start the program.
- In the menu, select “Reverse Clients”. Add a new Reverse Client and Enter “client hostname”or IP address.
- This IP address is the Public IP addess of the Internet access (ADSL) on the remote maintenance PC side.
- Generally, you must ask this IP address to the machine builder.
- Let the port number by defaut (7573). So you must have something like XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:7573 where XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX is the Internet ADSL IP address.
- All done ! That’s all. We just have to wait the connection of the engineer service / machine builder. (Remote maintenance PC side)!

- Plug the Ace PLC to the WIFI AP/STA Router via USB cable.

- Power on the WIFI AP/STA Router.
- A WiFi network called CloudHub_xxxxxx (where xxxxxx is a unique number) will appear
- Join the CloudHub_xxxxxx WIFI network with your WiFi card on your client PC. Default wifi password is: cloudhub66
- For an access to thes parameters of the WIFI Router, download:

- Start the VirtualHere client and the CloudHub will automatically appear listed after 15-30 sec
- Now, we are going to indicate the parameters for the WIFI AP/STA Router (Your Ace PLC) to connect to your PC or Server on Internet
- In the menu, select “Reverse Clients”. Add a new Reverse Client and Enter “client HostName”or IP address.
- This allows the AP/STA WIFI router to tell the Server where it is: “I’m here”
- This IP address (or HostName) is the Public IP addess of the Internet access (ADSL FIXE IP – see diagram above) on Cloud/Scada/Server/PC side.
- Let the port number by defaut (7573). So you must have something like XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:7573.
- Don’t forget also to forward the Port number 7573 of your Internet access to your Cloud/Scada/Server application. The procedure depend of the brand of your router.
- This allows the AP/STA WIFI router to tell the Server where it is: “I’m here”
- We are switch the Router from an AP (WIFI Acces Point Server) to an STA (WIFI Client) and connect it to your Router WIFI AP (Like your PC. It connects to the WIFI)
- For setup the server right click on the CloudHub listed and select Properties:
- Then, select “Configure” and enter the password cloudhub66
- For connect, our Ace PLC which is connected via USB to the WIFI AP/STA Router, to an existing AP (Access Point) WIFI or Ethernet Network.
- Select I want my CloudHub to be : “part of an existing network” and enter the network
- Connection of the Ace PLC with its AP/STA WIFI router to the WIFI local access point.
- Choose your WIFI Network, enter the password.
- Important: as a security measure, you should turn off SSH access via the “Enable/Disable SSH” button in Advanced menu
- and Apply.
- From now, your Ace PLC, via the Router, is going to connected to your WIFI/Network (Like your PC. It connects to the WIFI/Network)
- If your PC is connected to the same network, it will reappear by this network.
- For setup the server right click on the CloudHub listed and select Properties:
If you make a mistake and the router becomes unreachable (e.g you enter the wrong password, forget the password etc)
1. Turn the router off
2. Turn the router on
3. Wait 30 seconds
4. Use a pen to press the RESET button on the router for 7 seconds
5. The router will reset to its defaults and appear again as “CloudHub_xxxxxx” WiFi which you can join with the default password cloudhub66

- For setup the server right click on the CloudHub listed and select Properties:
- Then, select “Configure” and enter the password cloudhub66
- For connect, our Ace PLC which is connected via USB to the WIFI AP/STA Router, to an existing AP (Access Point) WIFI or Ethernet Network.
- Select I want my CloudHub to be : “part of an existing network” and enter the network
- Connection of the Ace PLC with its AP/STA WIFI router to the WIFI local access point.
- Choose your WIFI Network, enter the password.
- Important: as a security measure, you should turn off SSH access via the “Enable/Disable SSH” button in Advanced menu
- and Apply.
- From now, your Ace PLC, via the Router, is going to connected to your WIFI/Network (Like your PC. It connects to the WIFI/Network)
- If your PC is connected to the same network, it will reappear by this network.
- For setup the server right click on the CloudHub listed and select Properties:
If you make a mistake and the router becomes unreachable (e.g you enter the wrong password, forget the password etc)
1. Turn the router off
2. Turn the router on
3. Wait 30 seconds
4. Use a pen to press the RESET button on the router for 7 seconds
5. The router will reset to its defaults and appear again as “CloudHub_xxxxxx” WiFi which you can join with the default password cloudhub66
